Finding The Perfect Fit

One size does not fit all—and neither do our products.

At Furretti, we design every product with a specific purpose in mind. Whether it’s a snug carrier for city travel or a sprawling orthopedic bed for home lounging, the dimensions of our "Small," "Medium," and "Large" options will vary depending on the collection.

To ensure your dog gets the comfort they deserve, we recommend measuring them using the guide below and then cross-referencing with the specific Size Chart located on each individual product page.

How to Measure Your Dog

For the most accurate fit, grab a tape measure and follow these simple steps while your dog is standing.

1. Length (The Most Important Measurement) Measure from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail.

  • Tip: Do not include the tail itself in the measurement.

  • Why it matters: This ensures your dog fits comfortably inside the sleeping area of a bed or the length of a carrier.

2. Height Measure from the floor to the top of the shoulders.

  • Why it matters: This helps determine if a carrier is tall enough for them to stand or turn around comfortably.

3. Sleeping Style (For Beds)

  • The Curler: If your dog sleeps in a tight ball, they may fit into a slightly smaller, donut-style bed (like the Fiore).

  • The Sprawler: If your dog loves to stretch out fully, we recommend sizing up or choosing a rectangular mattress (like the Livorno or Bosco) to give them ample room.

Understanding Our Categories

Luxury Beds (Livorno, Fiore, Bosco) Our beds are designed to offer different levels of support. A "Medium" in our donut-style Fiore bed may feel different from a "Medium" in our structured Livorno bed due to the thickness of the bolsters.

  • Rule of Thumb: Always check the Internal Sleeping Area dimensions on the product page, not just the external size.

Travel Carriers (Allegro, Nido, Carina) Travel carriers are designed for safety and portability, meaning they are often snugger than a home bed.

  • Carina Sling: Designed specifically for Petite & Teacup breeds (e.g., Chihuahuas, Yorkies).

  • Allegro & Nido: Designed for Small to Medium breeds. Please adhere strictly to the weight and length limits listed on these pages to ensure the carrier maintains its structure and safety.

Car Seat Covers (Avventura) Our rear seat covers are designed with a Universal Fit to suit most standard cars, SUVs, and trucks. However, we always recommend measuring your car’s backseat width to be sure.
